Como cabía esperar en un régimen como el de Assad, los manifestantes antiisraelíes que este domingo y hace unas semanas han intentado atravesar la frontera entre Siria e Israel no eran un movimiento palestino tan libre y espontáneo como se nos ha intentado vender.
De hecho, ya en la anterior ocasión en la que se produjeron incidentes en la frontera, el pasado 15 de mayor con motivo del llamado "día de la Nakba", transcendió que los manifestantes llegaban a la frontera en autobuses puestos por el propio gobierno.
Pero ahora el apoyo iría mucho más allá: según denuncia el Partido Reformista Sirio, en la oposición al régimen de Bashar Assad y su partido nazi Baaz, los manifestantes que aceptan acercarse a la frontera con Israel reciben un premio de 1.000 dólares por cabeza.
Es importante reseñar que esta cantidad representa unas cinco veces el salario medio de un trabajador sirio en un mes. Además, en caso de que el manifestante falleciese durante la protesta se les habrían prometido 10.000 dólares para sus familias. Algunos medios elevan esta cantidad a la astronómica cifra (para una familia siria) de 25.000 dólares.
Cifras exageradas
Según la televisión estatal Siria unas 23 personas habrían muerto en los disturbios de ayer entre la frontera entre éste país e Israel. Sin embargo, las Fuerzas Armadas Israelíes (IDF por sus siglas en inglés) señalan que estás cifras están infladas.
